Real change on the island requires addressing the stray dog overpopulation problem and the factors leading to it.
The Spayathon4PR, a mass spay/neuter initiative led by the Humane Society of the United States has been cancelled as a result of an ongoing battle between island veterinarians and the organization. In an effort to continue the incredible work of this initiative, we have launched a spay/neuter voucher program for residents of Punta Santiago who want to do right by their dog but do not have the financial means to do so.

Each surgery performed prevents at least 70+ puppies from a life on the street.
